Juntos Belize | Terms of Engagement
Preface
This document exists to help us start well—clear about who we are, why we do this work, and how we choose to serve together. Juntos Belize operates in close relationship with local communities, business leaders, and faith-based partners, where trust and reputation matter deeply. These Terms of Engagement are not meant to be restrictive or intimidating, but to create a shared understanding that allows volunteers from many backgrounds to work together with clarity, mutual respect, and a common sense of purpose.
Why We Do What We Do
Juntos Belize exists to support Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, and Community Influencers as they build healthy, sustainable ventures that serve their families, employees, and communities well. We are not a church, nor are we an evangelistic organization. We are a faith-motivated initiative that believes business, leadership, and service can—and should—be done with integrity, humility, and care for others.
Our motivation is rooted in Christian values such as stewardship, honesty, generosity, and respect for human dignity. These values shape our perspective and guide our decisions, while remaining practical and relevant in the everyday realities of business and leadership. Participation in Juntos Belize does not require adherence to a specific denomination or set of doctrines.
Who Is Welcome
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life who are willing to serve alongside Team Juntos with professionalism, respect, and a shared commitment to doing good work well. Many who engage with Juntos Belize do so because they care about entrepreneurship, community development, mentorship, and ethical leadership—even if their personal beliefs differ from ours. When grounded in mutual respect, that diversity strengthens our work.
How We Serve Together
As a volunteer, you represent Juntos Belize through your words, actions, and relationships. We ask that you serve in ways that reflect care for others and respect for the communities we work alongside. This includes treating people with dignity, exercising good judgment, honoring cultural norms, and acting in ways that build trust and credibility for the organization.
This is not about perfection. It is about alignment, humility, and a willingness to serve others above self.
Transparency and Trust
Because Juntos Belize operates in close relationship with local partners, community leaders, and faith-based organizations, trust and reputation matter deeply. We ask volunteers to be thoughtful and transparent about any past or present matters that could reasonably be perceived as inconsistent with our values or potentially harmful to the integrity of the work. This allows us to steward relationships wisely and protect the communities and partners we serve.
A Shared Commitment
Serving with Juntos Belize is a privilege, not an entitlement. From time to time, it may be necessary to pause or end a volunteer relationship if continued involvement no longer aligns with our mission, values, or responsibilities. When possible, we aim to handle such situations with grace, discretion, and respect for everyone involved.
