The Setting
The coastal cities and cayes of Belize are well known destinations for tourists, but did you also know …
The mortality rate for new businesses in Belize is nearly double the Latin America and Caribbean regional averages, and …
42% of these business failures can be directly linked to knowledge gaps in core business competencies.
For developing countries like Belize, entrepreneurship isn’t just an opportunity—it’s a lifeline. That’s why the high failure rates are so alarming.
The high failure rate of new business ventures is driven by several factors, but one of the most significant is a lack of knowledge in core business competencies.
Many entrepreneurs start with passion but lack training in budgeting, pricing, cash flow management, or strategic planning.
Many ventures launch without fully understanding their target market, competition, or generating demand.
Many entrepreneurs operate in isolation. Few have access to experienced mentors, training, or peer groups for support and feedback.
The entrepreneurial spirit in Belize is strong, but the support system is weak.
But what if you could …
Find and deploy a team of seasoned executives and high performing business leaders with decades of experience in the trenches of successfully running a business and professional consulting?
And what if this team were motivated to pass along their experiences and learning in the form of real-world business training, mentorship, and consulting—not based on theory, but actual best practices and results?
And what if they viewed business as a calling, applying faith-based values to help entrepreneurs, business leaders and community influencers lead with purpose, humility, and impact?
… would you?
Make a Difference
The scope of the Juntos Project includes delivery of culturally relevant business education and specialized training, networking events and one-on-one consulting engagements, all of which were previously 100% self-funded by Juntos core team members in the past. Contributions will be used to increase the frequency and respond appropriately to opportunities to grow these programs across Belize.
