Juntos Belize | Statement of Christian Foundation
Juntos Belize is a faith-based nonprofit organization founded on Christian principles. Our faith shapes why we serve, how we treat others, and the values that guide our work.
We believe that every person is created in God’s image and has inherent worth, dignity, and God-given talents. We also believe that we are called to use our abilities, experiences, and resources responsibly, not simply for personal gain, but for the benefit of others and the communities in which we live.
These beliefs are reflected in five principles that guide our work:
Service: We seek to serve others with humility and generosity, sharing our knowledge, experience, and resources without expecting anything in return.
Integrity: We believe honesty, fairness, accountability, and ethical conduct are essential to building trust and lasting relationships.
Stewardship: We encourage the responsible development and use of the talents, opportunities, and resources entrusted to each of us.
Respect: We recognize the dignity and value of every individual, regardless of religious beliefs, background, or circumstances.
Community: We believe people accomplish more when they work together, encourage one another, and contribute to the well-being of others.
Juntos Belize | Faith in Practice
Our Christian foundation is expressed primarily through our actions: how we serve, how we lead, how we make decisions, and how we treat the people with whom we work.
Juntos welcomes participants, volunteers, presenters, advisors, and partners from all religious backgrounds, including those who do not share our Christian beliefs. Participation in Juntos programs does not require religious belief, affiliation, or participation in religious activities.
We do not expect everyone involved with Juntos to share our faith. We do ask that those representing the organization respect its Christian foundation and uphold the principles that guide our work.
Our purpose is not to impose our beliefs on others, but to put those beliefs into practice through meaningful service, practical education, mentoring, and the development of stronger businesses, leaders, and communities throughout Belize.
Our Christian faith is the foundation of our service, not a condition for receiving it.
