Juntos Belize | Mentoring Guidelines

Introduction

Juntos Belize offers one-on-one coaching to help entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community influencers take practical next steps in their business journey. These sessions provide clarity and direction as you apply principles from our workshops to your specific situation. We can help you think through many challenges, but we are not a substitute for licensed legal, financial, medical, or technical professionals when their expertise is required.

You Drive the Process

This coaching relationship works only when you take ownership. As the mentee, you are responsible for requesting meetings, setting goals, identifying priorities, and completing follow-up actions between sessions. The more prepared, honest, and proactive you are, the more value you will receive. Think of coaching like baseball: the coach can help with your stance, timing, and swing—but you step up to the plate, make the decisions, and take the swing. Because of this, we cannot predict or guarantee specific business outcomes, nor are we liable for the results of decisions you make.

A Gift to You

These services are offered at no charge. Our mentors volunteer their time as part of our mission to strengthen believing entrepreneurs and encourage them to see their businesses as platforms for ministry, integrity, excellence, and community impact. We invest this time because we believe in you and in the good your business can bring to Belize.

What Sessions Look Like

Meetings usually last 30 to 60 minutes and may be in person, by phone, or via Zoom depending on location and availability. You may request a specific mentor, but scheduling needs or workload may require us to connect you with someone else who is available and able to serve you well.

Come prepared with a clear topic or challenge you want to address. Bring any helpful materials—financial statements, business plans, samples, or specific questions. The clearer you are about what you need, the more focused and productive your session will be.

Confidentiality and Trust

What you share stays confidential unless you ask us to involve other members of the Juntos team for additional support. We want these sessions to be a place of honesty, clarity, and trust, and we expect the same discretion from both sides.

What We Can Expect

From you, we ask for clear communication, timely follow-through on action steps, openness to guidance, and respect for your mentor’s time by coming prepared. You also agree to seek licensed professional help when your situation requires specialized expertise.

From your mentor, you can expect practical insight drawn from experience, thoughtful questions to help you think clearly, and guidance on tools or next steps as time allows. Your mentor is a guide, not a decision-maker or service provider. All final choices and outcomes remain your responsibility.

How Long These Sessions Last

Some coaching relationships are brief; others last longer. Sessions continue as long as they remain helpful for both you and your mentor, and either party may end the engagement at any time. Mentor availability may vary depending on season and workload.

Commitment Precedes Progress

Our desire is to help you build a strong, resilient business that serves your employees, customers, and community well. The effort you bring to each session directly shapes the value you receive.
