Team Juntos provides safe harbor for leaders, entrepreneurs, and community influencers to explore the challenges of successfully managing a business or nonprofit venture.

  • The Challenge: In Belize, businesses account for over 50% of all employment, yet many entrepreneurs lack the critical skills needed to grow sustainable enterprises. With an economy transitioning from agriculture to services, Belizean business owners face a significant skills gap that prevents economic growth and prosperity.

  • Our Solution: Juntos Belize provides world-class business education, mentorship, and training from experienced professionals to Belizean entrepreneurs who would otherwise have no access to these critical resources.

Our ultimate goal is to inspire Belizean entrepreneurs to view their businesses as platforms for ministry, serving both employees and communities through Christ-centered leadership. We equip business leaders to integrate faith with entrepreneurship, creating Kingdom-minded ventures that generate economic opportunity while advancing God's work throughout Belize.

Juntos Belize is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Why Give?

  • Small businesses in Belize have historically high failure rates, with estimates suggesting 60-70% of new businesses fail within the first three years.

  • The gap is even wider for micro-enterprises (1-5 employees). First-year failure rates range from 30-40%, and only about 10-15% survive beyond 10 years.

  • In Belize specifically, estimates suggest an additional 20-30% of "surviving" businesses are categorized as "zombie businesses", technically operating but not generating sustainable returns or growth potential. The failure rates in these studies would be even higher is they included this and similar categories.

  • Research by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) indicated 42% of business failures could be directly linked to knowledge gaps in core business competencies.

  • World Bank studies similarly attribute the cause of 30-45% of SME failures directly to management and skills deficiencies.

  • In 2019, the IDB confirmed that the dominant majority (>70%) of Belizean SMEs lack any formal business training or education.
